Match Report

Crusaders put New Ash Green to the sword with a superb display from a four pronged bowling attack that was spearheaded by Moysey’s 5-21. Bill had no hesitation inserting our hosts on what looked to be a lively track and The Fox and Danglers soon had the opposition in trouble. Only Quantrill (51) offered any tangible resistance, passing 1000 runs for the season in the process, but with no support NAG struggled to 98-9, with Moysey having intimidated a young whinging asthmatic junior member to ‘retire hurt’.
Victory was achieved at a canter, with Steve Lewis and Barry Gale putting quick runs on the board. Barry had obviously stepped in something as he offered numerous chances in a breezy knock that was eventually curtailed two short of fifty. At this point an alien spaceship abducted Bazza, circled the ground several times before crashing back to earth in a ball of flames. Baz walked calmly from the wreckage completely unscathed. After the middle order gave NAG a hint of an improbable victory Jim, who appeared to be under the influence of something slightly stronger than nicotine applied the finishing touches.
