Tuesday 30 July -v- Woolwich Postal at Avery Hill Park
For the third consecutive Tuesday we attempted to decide the winner of our group and once again, the Lord God Almighty chappie dropped the contents of his bladder all over Avery Hill. Amazingly, despite the conditions, we actually accrued ten players by 6.00 pm against our oppos measly one.
After several minutes with the American Football and no sign of relent from the tempest or the arrival of the rest of the Postal side, conclusion was settled by lottery. A small gold disc travelled the short journey from thumb to back of hand, carrying with it the destiny of both sides, giving no indication of its bias. John Smalley incorrectly called heads and our unbeaten run of RW League games continued.
