Match Report
For successive weeks we plied ourselves against new opposition, with a first visit to Linden Park. Again the result was a draw, with our hosts using a combination of sleep deprivation and starvation techniques to keep us on the field for three hours while they crawled to a declaration total of 162._An exceptional tea was followed by a valiant assault on the target. Chand and Grant made their intentions plain, taking suicidal runs and in Chand's case - including an outrageous six over extra-cover -throwing the bat at everything. Darkie stroked a fluid fifty in the heart of our innings, but Linden Park had adopted a very defensive field, which saw us fall short by six runs.
