Match Report

Looking up
Having recovered from the humiliation of Centaurs we hoped for as good a match as our previous meeting had produced at ChisIehurst. Unfortunately Steve M and Gordon turned half the afternoon into the Mid-Kent Orienteering Competition, but did arrive in time to save the innings with a record breaking last wicket stand of 35.Those of us that started the game at the appropriate time had again batted poorly with only Limp and the skip holding it together. Mulling over at tea, we knew we would have to bowl well to take the spoils. In Daz we had a potential match winner but lacked any real penetration from the other end. This being so, we never really got ourselves into a winning position and BBH managed to manoeuvre themselves away from victory through some indifferent scoring. A draw in the end was a fair result and considering we bowled 50 overs and limited them to one fewer run it was to us a morale victory.
