Match Report

-v- Edenbridge II at Blossoms Park 13 September
Prematch
With holiday commitments depriving the skip of five of his recognised outfit, the services of Alan Trevillion and Old Boy Gibbo were hastily deployed. Even so,we still only managed ten but the rapidly darkening skies on route fo] Edenbridge filled Spud with the hope of at least a share of the spoils. The Match Despite the gloom, the game got under way, with Edenbridge asking us t( bat.Following the usual early exit of Chucks,Timmo and Ex PB rattled an explosive fifty partnership, that blew all negative thoughts of a weather restricted draw from Spuds mind, and it was he that ended the disappointed skipper, when the heavens finally opened to cease play for the day. The late season run flurry of GT overhauled Darkie,to take up second spot in the averages, with an aggregate 343 runs.
Edenbridge were at their sociable best, its just a shame their beer is crap.
